T24
T24 is a 24mm thick tile designed specifically for ventilated façades requiring large format tiles with greater resistance to dynamic loads. The tiles weigh 34 kgs. per square meter (approx.), however the higher weight of the tiles is offset by a more lightweight system of installation. Overlapping ship-lap horizontal grooves prevent water from entering the air cavity, rendering the façade more water-tight.
The T24 tiles can be supplied in three height variants and lengths upto 1190mm. The sizes mentioned refer to the dimensions of the tile faces. The dimensions between axes are 10mm bigger in height and length. i.e. - a tile face of 290 x 990 mm is equal to a tile size of 300 x 1000 mm between axes.
Installation Systems for T24
The T24 tiles are designed to be installed with either of three recommended systems of installation – the Continuous Horizontal Runner (CHR) System, the ‘Clamp’ System, or the ‘Clip’ System.
CHR System
The Continuous Horizontal Runner (CHR) System may be chosen where an added degree of safety is required as in the case of extremely high wind-load areas or high rise buildings.
Clamp System
The ‘Clamp’ Systems comprised of T-shaped vertical profiles, horizontal aluminium clamps to hold/ mount the tiles and special epdm gaskets used to absorb the vibrations between the tiles and the structure. The tile lengths which can be used with this systems depends on the design wind load calculated or specified for the project.
Clip System
The ‘Clip’ System comprises of T-shaped vertical profiles, with SS clips to hold/ mount the tiles and special epdm gaskets used to absorb the vibrations between the tiles and the structure. This system is suitable where a greater degree of flexibility is required. It can also be used to achieve a segmented curve in plan subject to a minimum radius requirement.
